251 West 89th Street - Entranceway Restoration

In August of 2015 Metal Man Restoration was hired to restore the front entranceway of 251 West 89th Street in Manhattan "The Admaston" . The entranceway dates back to the building which was between 1910 and 1911 (pre-war building).

Condition: When we arrived on-site the entranceway was never restored and had many layers of paint including the original paint which was assessed through our initial analysis.   There were also some rotted areas and many pits below the paint which have worn through the original wrought iron.

Solution: The job took over two months to strip all the paint, sand all the pits from the metal and metal fill all the areas
