When the landmark Art Deco complex once known as the Jersey City Medical Center was reborn as The Beacon, my team at Metal Man Restoration handled the metal restoration for Buildings B and C. How We Approached the Work
We restored the bronze and steel windows and the bronze entranceways back to sound, working condition, and brought the cast iron canopy back as well. Where original pieces were missing, we did not substitute off-the-shelf parts. We fabricated new radiator grilles and railings to match the originals, so the new work reads as part of the historic building.
